There are over 250 courses in Ireland, fashioned by such legends as Tom Morris, Tom Simpson, Alister Mackenzie, H.S. Colt, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Many famous tournaments have been played here including the British Open, Walker Cup, British Amateur and, of course, the Irish Open. While many of the courses are remote, they are usually uncrowded and genuinely welcoming to visitors, as only the Irish can do.
